Plates izmērs Micro ATX

Pamatplates fiziskais izmērs. Dateks piedāvā ATX (pilnizmēra plate), mATX (micro ATX) (samazinātu izmēru plate) un miniATX izmēra pamatplates. ATX izmēra datora korpusā iespējams ievietot gan ATX, gan mATX pamatplati, savukārt mATX korpusā nav iespējams ievietot ATX plati.

Platei ATX ir ne mazāk kā 3 atmiņas sloti un ne mazāk kā 5 lokālo slotu PCI, tāpēc uz šīs plates var veidot labi funkcionējošo spēcīgu datoru. Taču mājas vai ofisa datoram tik daudz slotu nemaz nav vajadzīgs, un līdz ar to derēs arī microATX.

Pamatplates barošanas bloka savienotājs ir strāvas avota kontaktligzda, kuras pašlaik ir ATX un ATX2.0 standarta. ATX ir vecāks standarts ar 20pin savienotāju (20 "kājiņām"), savukārt ATX2.0 ir ar papildus 4piniem (20+4). ATX standarta pamatplates spēj strādāt ar ATX2.0 barošanas bloku (PSU), savukārt ATX2.0 pamatplatei ir nepieciešams ATX2.0 barošanas bloks.

Form-faktoram ir drīzāk ieteikuma raksturs. Taču pirms iegādāties pamatplati pārliecinieties par korpusa izmēra atbilstību pamatplates izmēram un tās barošanas savienotājam.

Operatīvās atmiņas kopne nosaka, kāda tipa operatīvo atmiņu uztur attiecīgā pamatplate.

Kopnes apzīmējumā ir atmiņas tips DDRII vai DDRIII, kā arī maksimālā atmiņas takts frekvence, ko uztur pamatplate. Svarīgākais rādītājs ir atmiņas tips, dažādu tipu atmiņas ir fiziski atšķirīgas, tādēļ DDRIII atmiņu nevar pievienot pamatplatei ar DDRII atmiņas atbalstu (izņemot gadījumus, kad ir abu atmiņas veidu atbalsts platē). Savukārt pamatplate, kas uztur 800Mhz DDRII atmiņu spēj strādāt ar DDII667 un DDRII533 atmiņas ātrumiem. Pamatplate ar atmiņas kopnes ātrumu, kas ir zemāks par atmiņas moduļa ātrumu, spēs strādāt ne ātrāk par norādīto kopnes ātrumu, t.i. ja pamatplates atmiņas kopne ir DDRII667, tad ievietojot DDRII800 atmiņu tā strādās ar DDRII667 ātrumu.
