MSI GeForce RTX 4070 is undisputedly the best choice for PC gaming enthusiasts who play at 1440p or 2K resolution, where the performance of the Ada architecture RTX 4070 outperforms even the well-known and popular RTX 3080!
MSI GeForce RTX 4070 graphics core clock frequency is 2505 MHz, while 12 GB GDDR6X memory beats at 21000 MHz. The power consumption of the given video card is only 200 W, which is a third less than the already mentioned and power-equivalent GeForce RTX 3080 and Radeon RX 6800 XT, which once again proves the impressive efficiency of the RTX 4070!
When choosing MSI a GeForce RTX 4070, we recommend pairing it with at least a 12th generation Core i5 or better from Intel or a 5000 series or newer Ryzen 5/7/9 CPU from AMD. The main difference is the manufacturer. NVidia produces GeForce series cards and AMD produces Radeon series cards. Radeon cards usually are cheaper and consume less energy (they are technologically superior), however there might be problems with drivers and the support of games.
The choice between Radeon or GeForce series is the question of preference, similar to the choice between AMD or Intel CPU, and not always there is 100% rational justification behind it, therefore we recommend to base your selection criteria just on the games that you want to play in the near future and to find a video review in YouTube (the graphic card model + the game title) that will demonstrate exactly how the particular card handles the relevant game. The result will be obvious and usually quite close to what you get when you buy the particular or similar model card.
