Description - The RAID TR-004U expansion enclosure with USB 3.0 enables expansion of the QNAP NAS server or computer disk capacity. The TR-004U can also be used as a direct-attached external memory (DAS) simply connect to the device's USB port to access its drives. The TR-004U enclosure has four 3.5-inch SATA drive bays and supports multiple RAID configuration options. In combination with the USB 3.0 Type-C connectivity, this has created a reliable and secure solution for expanding storage space. The TR-004U supports different RAID configurations. Depending on your needs, you can choose hardware or software RAID control. DIP switches allow you to set the RAID mode best suited to your needs: single disks, JBOD group, RAID 0, RAID 1/10 or RAID 5. RAID settings can also be configured from the QNAP NAS or using the QNAP External RAID Manager application on the computer.

You can also configure the RAID settings from your QNAP NAS, or by using the QNAP External RAID Manager utility on your computer.Individual ModeTreats every disk as separate storage spaces, allowing you to independently access each one.JBOD ModeAll the disks are recognized as a single drive. This allows maximal storage utilization but provides no data protection.RAID 0 ModeData is split amongst the drives.
