Description - The PZL W-3 Sokół is a contemporary Polish multipurpose helicopter with fixed-wheel landing gear, in a typical configuration with a main rotor and tail rotor on the tail boom. Propulsion is provided in the W-3A version by two PZL-10B engines of 900 hp each. The first prototype was flown in 1979 and series production began in 1986 and is still ongoing. More than 150 helicopters of this type remain in service both in Poland and with foreign operators.
