How does the BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance filter work?
Filtration with BRITA MAXTRA PRO Pure Performance is a 4-stage process: Super-fine mesh: captures large particles from old water pipes such as sand or rust. Natural activated carbon beads made from coconut shells prevent chlorine and its derivatives, as well as trace impurities such as herbicides, pesticides, and pharmaceutical residues (if present in tap water), from entering the filtered water. Ion exchange beads reduce metals such as lead and copper and soften the water. Additional high-performance filtration mesh provides 4x better particle retention compared to the previous MAXTRA+ filter (particle size more than 30 um). Additionally, the PerfectFit mechanism ensures that all water is thoroughly filtered when using original BRITA cartridges.
