The Core i5-10600K processor and the GeForce GTX 1660 graphics makes this Creative workstation suitable for professional work with popular audio and photo editing tools. It’s also good for medium complexity video editing and content creation using 3D and CAD software.

Audio editing

This PC meets recommended system requirements of the common audio editing and music production software so you can easily edit and even produce your own music using FL Studio, Ableton Live, Reason, Cubase, SOUND FORGE, Adobe Audition, Audacity and other DAW tools. Variety of internal and external connections allows you to expand your system with professional grade sound card, MIDI controller or music instrument.

Photo editing

Photo editing software developers are slowly implementing GPU accelerated effects into their products but still most of the tasks are done by the CPU. That’s why we have installed a 6-core Core i5-10600K processor on the B460 motherboard with 12 MB of cache and a 4.10 GHz base clock which can be automatically increased up to 4.80 GHz in boost mode when you need extra horsepower. That makes this workstation an optimal choice for Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator as the benchmarks show that the software previously mentioned can effectively utiliae no more than 8 CPU cores.

If you need a computer just for photo editing in Adobe CC you should look no further than this system. It will work without any lags even while editing big media assets. An upgrade to Core i9, Ryzen 9 or Threadripper processor won’t give improvement proportional to the high increase in price unless you’re planning to do high resolution video editing and 3D content creation where CPU core count has a much bigger influence on rendering speeds and overall performance.

Video editing and post-processing

Most of the work during video exporting (rendering) process is done by the CPU, but live preview and some effect with enabled hardware acceleration lies on the back of the GPU, so it’s essential to have a good graphics card with enough VRAM (video memory). The optimal VRAM amount depends on the media resolution you work with:

For more complex projects in 4K or higher resolution we recommend to double the amount of memory or choose a higher tier Intel Core i7/i9 or AMD Ryzen 7/9 workstation with 32GB or more RAM.

Some of you may ask why we are offering gaming class GeForce GTX 1660 graphics card in our Creative series PC instead of a professional solution like NVIDIA Quadro or AMD FirePro. The answer is simple – our experience shows that gaming cards are more affordable and delivers the same or even better performance than Quadro or FirePro. In addition to that, GeForce GTX 1660 allows you to play latest computer games in your spare time which is almost impossible on Quadro models cause their drivers aren’t optimized for games.

CAD and 3D software

Currently, most popular 3D tools like Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Revit and Cinema 4D can utilize only one processor core during the modelling process. That’s the main reason why these applications benefit more from higher clock speed rather than the core count. The same phenomenon applies to AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit.

The situation is quite different while rendering (Arnold, Mental Ray, V-Ray, Keyshot etc.) where processor core and thread count has a vital role on reducing the time spent exporting. That’s why many big corporations choose to do the rendering process not on production computers but separate multi-processor machines often referred to as render farms.

This Creative series PC utilizes a Core i5-10600K processor. Its clock can reach speed up to 4.80 GHz which ensures smooth 3D modelling and animation process while 6 cores & 12 threads allows to efficiently render simple 3D models. To display 3D content hassle-free a good graphics card is needed and the GeForce GTX 1660 6 GB is very effective at this.

The 3D software mentioned above suggest 8 to 16GB of RAM so with 16GB (2x8) DDR4 3200 MHz included in this configuration is enough to complete necessary tasks quickly and pleasantly.

CPU Intel Core i5-10600K

The included Intel Core i5-10600K processor has 6 cores and 12 MB cache. It has a base frequency of 4.10 GHz, which can be increased to 4.80 GHz for more demanding tasks thanks to Turbo technology.

Intel Core i5-10600K CPU offers an excellent price/performance ratio. Thanks to its 6 cores, 12 MB of cache and 4.80 GHz boost clock it’s score exceeds 14500+ points mark at the PassMark test which is an obvious indication of its capabilities to cope with any task you can possibly throw at it. The latest computer games, photo editing, medium complexity video editing and basic 3D content creation are just some of the works Core i5-10600K will run with ease. But if you think it’s still not powerful enough – we’re also offering Intel Core i9, AMD Ryzen 9 and Threadripper systems.

Here is a table of Intel Core i5-10600K performance in the popular CineBench R20 test, which gives a fairly accurate picture of the overall performance of the processor, as the test is able to use all 6 cores efficiently.

In PC games Core i5-10600K also performs well, here's a comparison with other popular AMD and Intel processors in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Tested with the powerful NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti video card at 1080p hi-res on the highest quality settings.

RAM 16GB (2x8) DDR4

One of the mandatory computer components is dynamic memory also called RAM (random access memory). This parameter is quite easy to understand – the more RAM the computer has the faster and more responsive it is. In this Creative series PC we have included 16GB (2x8) DDR4 RAM which runs at 3200 MHz clock and has CL 16 latency which is optimal for this configuration.

SSD 480GB NVMe

This Creative series PC is configured with a 480GB NVMe SSD which reaches 3500 MB/s read speed and up to 2300 MB/s while writing data. SSD is a mandatory component of any computer if you are looking for fast startup of operating system and programs. It also ensures the levels of the games load much quicker.

Ergonomics

Nowadays we spend more and more of our time at the computer, so ergonomics should be a serious consideration when choosing a computer. There is a very strong relationship between proper ergonomics and optimal health. Laptops are not suitable for prolonged use due to their relatively small screen which is located too close to the keyboard. Therefore, only one of these elements can be positioned correctly at the ideal distance from the user. Continuous use and an unnatural sitting position can result in neck and back pain and even lead to deformed posture. Plus, the small screen increases strain on the eyes which can make your vision deteriorate over time.

By choosing a desktop computer equipped with keyboard, mouse and a large monitor (or two) it is much easier to set up the workplace that suits your body to avoid fatigue and pain in muscles and joints and eliminate the possibility of serious problems in the long run.

Remember to take a small 3 to 5 minute break after every hour on the computer! No matter how ergonomically your workplace is arranged you should stand up, walk around, flex your muscles, joints and eyes by alternately looking to close and far objects so the eye muscles don’t adapt to unwanted focusing at a certain distance.

Advantages of a desktop computer

Mobile processors and graphics cards have become more powerful in the last couple of years but the difference between the performance of a laptop and a desktop PC is still marginal. Of course you can run modern games and even professional photo and video editing software on a laptop but at the same price point a desktop computer will offer more performance than a laptop at almost any task.

In our experience insufficient cooling is also a serious problem in laptops and there’s an easy explanation – users want their devices to be powerful yet thin and light which is almost an impossible combination to achieve. Most consumers and manufacturers prefer design and mobility over performance, which results in a visually attractive product that heats up rapidly after just few minutes or even seconds after putting an increased load on the main components. Laptop fans start spinning faster to cope with the excessive heat. This increases the noise and is very often not effective enough, so the CPU and/or GPU reaches its temperature limit and the thermal throttling (self-preservation by significantly lowering the clock speed) kicks in. That results in a big loss of performance.

Warranty

Every Desktop PC comes with a 2 year warranty. All parts, their unique serial numbers and warranty period is visible in a document you’ll receive together with computer. For individual parts with a warranty period more than 2 years we’ll provide warranty service in the full amount till the end of the warranty period. Our computers are not sealed or otherwise restricted, so the customer is allowed to open chassis for cleaning or to replace or upgrade memory or other components. Of course, tampering of individual components is not allowed under manufacturer’s policy.

After purchasing a custom built Desktop PC a consumer cannot use his rights of withdrawal because each computer is manufactured exclusively from specific computer components, so according to MK Regulation No. 255 point 22.3. the goods are made to the consumer's specification and are clearly personalized.
